As enterprises adopt IoT products, they have to make sure that security is part of the design from the beginning and implement microsegmentation, says Dr. Neena Pahuja, former director-general of the Indian government's Education & Research Network, or ERNET.

In a video interview at Information Security Media Group's recent Cybersecurity Summit in New Delhi, Pahuja discusses:

  • Security threats posed by IoT systems;
  • Implementing a microsegmentation strategy to address secuity;
  • Using artifical intelligence and machine learning within IoT products.

Dr. Pahuja is former director-general at Education & Research Network, or ERNET, an autonomous society under MeitY. She has experience in education, healthcare, manufacturing and the service industry in the areas of digitization and information security and business transformation. She has also held the position of the global enabling leader at Genpact, where she was responsible for information security and compliance for all global locations.
